I just got off NCL's newest ship, the Norwegian Getaway. WOW..
This ship is stunning and has the most magnificent amenities Norwegian has to offer with The Waterfront, an innovative, industry-first open-air promenade designed to connect guests with the ocean like no other cruise line.
There are 28 dining options, five water slides, (yes adults go on!) and three levels of action-packed activities in the sports complex.
The entertainment was excellent and included seven-time Tony Award-nominated musical Legally Blonde.
Norwegian Getaway's itinerary cruises to the tropics year-round from Miami with 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruises.
This ship is excellent for families because of the Youth programs for children ages 3-17.

Enjoy the privacy of The Haven Courtyard with two levels of private beach club ambiance and a private pool. And call upon your certified butler anytime - day or night.
We sat at VIBE Beach Club one day (extra charge) where there were no children, a private bar and 2 huge Jacuzzis overlooking the Ocean.
I HIGHLY recommend the SVEDKA/Inniskillin Ice Bar - Kept at 17 degrees Fahrenheit, the ship’s ice bar will feature icy 3D elements inspired by the ship’s Magic City home such as South Beach’s iconic Ocean Drive skyline and palm trees etched into the icy walls, a "Welcome to Miami Beach" sign and a life-size alligator throne made entirely of ice. In addition, the entire bar, seating and glassware will all also be made of ice, the ship provides COATS to wear inside.. BABY IT WAS COLD!!!
My favorite bar was of course "Sugarcane Mojito Bar" the super friendly Bartender "BONGO" makes the best Mojitos... And if you know me, I'm the Mojito expert!
My accomodations in a Balcony Cabin included:
Queen-size bed (that can be separated into two twin beds) with pillow top mattress.
Chestnut leather headboard cushioned and tufted to make reading and sitting up in bed more comfortable.
Convenient lighted recess above the bed to hold books, magazines, tablet computers or electronic reading devices.
Sofa bed with additional storage.
Built-in 26-inch flat-screen television.
Built-in vanity area with shelving and lots of storage space.
Full-size closet that is easily accessible with sliding doors.
The cabins are very comfortable, and the showers were amazing.. Larger than any ship I've been on.
